Congratulations to Caroline Wales for being one of the 81 participants selected to attend the First Tee Pure Insurance Pro-Am at Pebble Beach! This is an official PGA TOUR Champions event, hosted at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Poppy Hills Golf Course on September 25-October 1, 2018.

Caroline is a member of Palm Desert High School’s Varsity Girls Golf Team. She is involved in SCPGA and IJGA Junior Tournaments, as her goal is to compete in Division I college golf. Caroline began playing golf at the age of 8, but committed to the sport when she was 10. She also is a competitive gymnast, but is mainly geared toward her future with golf. Wales has attended The First Tee’s Life Skills Academy in Michigan and College Golf Prep Academy in Florida, which focused on competitive golf and leadership skills.

Participants going to Pebble Beach are selected based on playing ability and comprehension of the life skills and core values learned through their involvement in The First Tee Program. The juniors will be teamed with 81 PGA TOUR Champions players and 162 amateurs as they compete for the pro-junior title at Pebble Beach and Poppy Hills. Keep an eye out for Caroline this fall, as the tournament, which is hosted by the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, will be televised internationally on the Golf Channel.
